Meet Khyri {Orange County Newborn Session}

This little man is a cutie.  Meet Khyri.  He was a little over 3 weeks when we did this session which is older than my usual newborn sessions.  I typically like to photograph newborns during their first 10 days of life because that’s when they are the sleepiest.  But Khyri had no problem sleeping away during clothing changes, prop changes, and posing changes.  Great job Khyri!  And his parents were wonderful as well!  Congrats Jenny and Keyth for your wonderful baby boy.  Enjoy every minute with him!  I am so happy for you both.

What a sleepy angel.I wonder what he’s dreaming about?I don’t get tired of pictures with a Dad and his newborn baby!  It’s just one of the most precious things in the world.

If you’re expecting and interested in booking a newborn session with me, contact me with additional details and book your session before baby comes.

Keep Dreaming {Huntington Beach Family Photographer}

My husband and I just celebrated our 10 year anniversary.  We can’t believe that it has already been 10 years!  It seems like it was just yesterday when we were planning our wedding yet at the same time, it seems so long ago.  All in all, it went by pretty fast and I was surprised that it was already here.  We were hoping that we would be visiting Tahiti, our honeymoon spot, on our 10 year anniversary but since it snuck up on us, we weren’t prepared for that trip. Hopefully, we can make that happen on another anniversary.  It’s always good to dream!

I was so fortunate to be a part of another anniversary recently.  I photographed a family session where the couple was celebrating their 50 year anniversary!  Isn’t that amazing!  Meet Mounir and Hoda.  They are such a wonderful husband and wife duo!  Their beautiful daughters Amy and Dina surprised them with a portrait session and I was happy they picked me!  This family was so much fun.  They knew how to make each other laugh and were so full of love.  They are a great example of what a family should be.

The photo shoot was on their actual anniversary date.  That morning Mounir told Hoda, “Hoda, we made it!”  She responded, “Wow, 50 years together.  What’s next?”  Mounir said, “What’s next? I keep on loving you.  You put your spell on me and it’s still working!” And Hoda answers back laughing, “Mony, just don’t wake up!”

It’s always good to keep having dreams and to share them with someone you love.  My husband and I have a lot to learn from Mounir and Hoda! I hope we will be as lucky.

This family is always full of laughs!What a beautiful couple…and beautiful sisters.  These sisters have the best friendship!You could still see the love between them.Just the ladies.

Twinsies! {Monrovia Newborn Photographer}

I’ve been telling people lately that this year has really flown by for me.  I can’t believe it’s already September.  That means the holidays are right around the corner.  I still feel like this is a new year!  I just can’t keep up!  I really wish that I knew how to slow down time because I don’t like this at all.  I wonder if moving to an island in Hawaii would help so that we can get away from the fast-paced California life.  My theory is that time goes by so much fast when you have kids.  The more kids you have, the faster time flies!

I wonder if the parents of these wonderful twins are going to feel the same way?  Baby Tomas & Emilija were just born but before they’ll know it, they will be celebrating their one year old birthdays!  So the only thing I can say, is to enjoy EVERY minute of it…even the crying moments, the diaper changes, the time spent trying to put them to sleep, all of it!  It doesn’t last too long and pretty soon it will just be a distant memory.

Congrats Chrissy and Vaidas!  Your baby boy and girl are so precious!

This gives new meaning to Goody Baskets!Time for some mommy love.

Sleepy Grins {Huntington Beach Newborn Photographer}

You know what I love about newborns sleeping?  Right when they fall in a deep sleep, they smile!  When I discovered it with my own daughters, I thought it was the most precious thing!  I tried to catch it every time.  All babies do it and baby Dominic was no exception.  It wasn’t hard to catch this little sleepy grin at all with Dominic.  He did it throughout our session!  How lucky am I?!  I always wondered what babies could be dreaming about at such a young age that would make them smile.  The only thing I could think of is milk, being in the arms of their parents and more milk.

I enjoyed my session with this beautiful family!  They were all so pleasant to be around.  And they looked like pros with this whole newborn thing.  I even asked them why they didn’t look tired!

Thank you Abby, Robert and  baby Dominic for a great session.  And thank you Dominic for all the sleepy grins you gave me.  I hope you were dreaming of something as sweet as you!

There it is…the sleepy grin!  I love it!Smiling for Daddy’s kisses.Abby, your eyes are ah-mazing!Robert you were a trooper!  Thanks for being a great sport!
